Benjamin Douglas Anderson was born Sept. 27. He weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long. His delighted parents are Shannon (Latkin) and Doug Anderson of Charlottesville. His proud grandparents are Bunni and Pete Latkin, of Farm Hill Drive.

Lea Gaffen, who grew up on Cavalier Corridor, is engaged to John Whiton of McLean. Lea attended Sleepy Hollow Elementary School, Glasgow MS and Stuart HS. She received her BA degree in English from Brandeis University and is working toward a Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. A spring 2005 wedding is planned.

Conor Odin Hardie, son of Polly & Noah Hardie of Burton Circle, was born Dec. 31 at 10:20 p.m. (just under the wire to qualify for a 2003 tax deduction!). Conor weighed in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.

After three wonderful years in Washington D.C., the Trimble family of Tollgate Terrace is returning to the UK. They sent along this note: "Our enduring web-based account is trimblefam@fsmail.net. When we are established in N. Ireland, we will let you all know our new e-mail addresses."

Ryan Sidney Hays, son of Christi and Greg Hays of Jay Miller Drive, was born Jan. 7. Ryan weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joins his big brother Garret.
