April starts cold, but sets both high and low records

April was a weather rollercoaster ride in our neighborhood.
On Monday, April 7, the wind chill hit 26.7°F -- the coldest of the month.
On Tuesday, April 8, the high was only 40°F, reached at 2:49 p.m. That was not only the lowest maximum for the month, but also the lowest maximum temperature recorded for April at this station in the last 23 years.
April's mean monthly temperature of 54.7°F was the lowest since 1997.
