UPDATE ON LAKE CONDITIONS - The beaches have been reopened for swimming. Test results show water quality levels back to normal ranges.
Test results on water samples taken by the county on June 17 show no detectable levels of human bacteria at the samples taken off each of the beaches, so we have reopened the lake to swimming. Bacteria results were higher in the water directly off the Woman's Club Garden (although still well within state standards for swimming), but as a precaution WID is leaving a no swimming sign up in that area for the time being. The county took additional water samples on June 18 (no results yet) and will do so again on June 19.
